Indonesia’s trade surplus reaches USD 3.12bn in Aug 2023
Indonesia’s trade surplus reached USD 3.12 billion for August 2023, rising from USD 1.31 billion a month earlier, Big News Network.com reported referring to data released by the country’s statistics bureau.
Over the reported month, imports fell by 14.77% to USD 18.88 billion. Crude oil imports declined by 39% on an annual basis.
Furthermore, due to lower prices for the country's top commodities, such as coal, palm oil and natural gas, Indonesia's exports for August dropped by 21.21% from a year earlier to USD 22 billion, Big News Network.com noted.
